香港新興科技教育協會策動籌辦,並由多個香港業界組織及專業團體參與籌辦。教育局,創新及科技局及政府資訊科技總監辦公室全力支持,比賽目的是讓學生於STEAM (科學、科技、工程、藝術及數學)方面發揮創意及提升創新能力,並表揚學生,老師和學校在發明上所付出的努力。第六屆大灣區STEAM卓越獎2024(香港) 主題包括:

1) 資訊及通訊科技
2) 科學實驗室
3) 扶輪淨水

人工智能、藝術科技、ESG (環境、社會和管治) 、元宇宙、機器人及Web 3 已列入資訊及通訊科技主題中。

Summary The 6th Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award 2024 (HKSAR) welcomes all students from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools as well as tertiary or above to participate in the captioned competition.

Details

The Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award (HKSAR) is organized by Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) This year, The 6th Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award 2024 (Hong Kong), supported by the Education Bureau (EDB), Innovation and Technology Bureau(ITB) and Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).

This award aims to enhance students’ creativity and innovation, and recognise young STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) talents for their efforts. There are three categories of The 6th Greater Bay Area STEAM Excellence Award 2024 (HKSAR):


1) ICT

2) Science Lab

3) Rotary Water Purification

Artificial Intelligence, Art Tech, ESG, Metaverse, Robotics and Web 3 are all grouped under ICT category.

The competition will be divided into Kindergartens, Primary, Secondary (Junior), Secondary (Senior) Schools and Tertiary or above streams. Students can choose to participate in either individual or small groups of no more than six persons. In addition, there will be a Top 10 STEAM Teacher Excellence Award and Top 10 STEAM School Excellence Award. 參賽規則

參賽單位需留意由私隱專員公署所制訂的最佳行事方式指引及個案經驗。如有任何爭議,主辦單位保留最終決定權,參賽者不得異議。

組別 KI:幼稚園 KI (繪畫)參賽者必須為本地認可的幼稚園學生(2023至2024學年內的K1 至K3學生)。參賽者可以個人提交繪畫作品。 (行政費: $180每個參賽作品)

組別 KII:幼稚園 KII (填色)參賽者必須為本地認可的幼稚園學生(2023至2024學年內的K1 至K3學生)。參賽者可以個人提交填色作品。提交一張黑白線描頁面,用各種繪畫工具如蠟筆、色鉛筆或馬克筆著色的競賽。 比賽的目標是展示參賽者的創造力、藝術技巧和對細節的關注,透過為提供的圖像添加顏色來營造生動的效果。 (這裡將圖頁供下載 – 請選一個) 。(行政費: $180每個參賽作品)

組別一:小學參賽者必須為本地認可的全日制小學學生(2023至2024學年內的小一至小六學生)。參賽者可以個人或小組方式提交作品(繪畫 或 400字以內的文章 或 PPT),而小組人數不可多於6人 。(行政費: 免費)

組別二:初中參賽者必須為本地認可的全日制中學學生(2023至2024學年內的中一至中三學生)。參賽者可以個人或小組方式提交作品(800字以內的文章 或 PPT),而小組人數不可多於6人。(行政費: 免費)

組別三:高中參賽者必須為本地認可的全日制中學學生(2023至2024學年內的中四至中六學生)。參賽者可以個人或小組方式提交作品(1,000字以內的文章 或 PPT),而小組人數不可多於6人。(行政費: 免費)

組別四:大專大學參賽者必須為本地認可的全日制大專或大學生,非本地生都可以參加此比賽(高級文憑、副學士、學士、碩士和博士學位),包括2023至2024學年畢業之學生。參賽者可以個人或小組方式提交作品(1,500字以內的文章 或 PPT),而小組人數不可多於6人。(行政費: 免費)


接受國內學校學生參加,學生可選擇獨立參與或經學校提名參與。

題目一: 資訊及通訊科技 通過資訊和通信技術 (例如人工智能、藝術科技、ESG (環境、社會和管治) 、元宇宙、機器人及Web 3),解決日常生活中的問題、或促進體驗、可持續性。參加者需提出科技應用的設計概念或作品,評審準則包括創意、工程原理概念、可行性及表達技巧

題目二: 科學實驗室 通過不同的科學實驗設計,驗證各種科學的概念。參加者需提出一個科學實驗的概念及驗證結果,評審準則包括創意、科學知識原理、可行性及表達技巧。

題目三: 扶輪淨水 通過結合新興科技(例如物聯網、遙感和衛星成像、移動應用程式、水處理技術、區塊鏈技術、自潔與無水衛生技術等)應用環境及個人衛生領域低成本水處理解決方案。參加者需提出應用設計概念或作品,評審準則包括創意、工程原理概念、可行性及表達技巧。

Rules and Regulations


Applicants are advised to be aware of the best practice and case-based experience as promulgated by the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.


In case of any dispute, the decision of the organiser will be final and binding on all parties concerned.


Stream KI: Kindergartens (Drawing)

It is open for Hong Kong Kindergarten school students (K1 – K3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by individuals. Submission can be in the form of drawings. (Administration Fee : $180 per Entry)


Stream KII: Kindergartens (Coloring)

It is open for Hong Kong Kindergarten school students (K1 – K3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by individuals. Submission is in the form of a black-and-white line drawing page filling in with colors using various coloring materials such as crayons, colored pencils, or markers. The objective of the contest is to showcase creativity, artistic skills, and attention to detail in the coloring of the provided image. Stream I: Primary Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong primary school students (P.1 – P.6, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of a drawing, an essay of 400 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream II: Secondary (Junior) Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong secondary school students (F.1 – F.3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 800 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream III: Secondary (Senior) Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong secondary school (F.4 – F.6, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 1,000 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream IV: Tertiary or above

The projects should be conducted by local registered tertiary institution students, Non-local students are also welcome (Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor, Master and PhD), including the applicants who are graduates in the academic year 2023-2024. Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 1,500 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)



Category I: ICT

Solve problems in daily life or enhance sustainability or experiences through information and communication technology (e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Art Tech, ESG, Metaverse, Robotics and Web 3). Participants are required to come up with an application design concepts or work, and the judging criteria include creativity, engineering principles and concepts, feasibility and presentation skills.


Category II: Science Lab

Through the design of different scientific experiments, verify various scientific concepts.Participants are required to present a scientific experiment concept and verification results. The evaluation criteria include creativity, scientific knowledge principles, feasibility and expression skills.


Category III: Rotary Water Purification

By combining emerging technologies (such as the Internet of Things, remote sensing and satellite imaging, mobile applications, water treatment technology, blockchain technology, self-cleaning and waterless sanitation technology, etc.) to produce a low-cost water treatment solutions. Participants are required to come up with applied design concept or work. The judging criteria include creativity, engineering principles and concepts, feasibility and expression skills.

FAQ 常見問題

Q: SUBMISSION MATERIALS : Other than an article/report, is it necessary to submit other materials, such as PPT, video, design sketch, or development plan? 作品材料提交: 除了作參賽作品,是否需要提交其他材料,如PPT、視頻短片、設計草圖或發展計劃?

A: It not compulsory but preferably submit a video clip or presentation slides (eg. PPT). You may include design sketch, or development plan in your article/report or PPT or video clip, if you think fit. 沒有強制的,但最好剪輯短片或演示幻燈片 (例如 PPT)。 如果您認為合適,可以在作品或 PPT 或剪輯短片中包含設計草圖或發展計劃。

A: In general, different categories have different focuses. If applicants have entry that may serve more than one category, they may consider to make multiple applications. Q: Do students submit soft copy through google forms only? Any hardcopy is required for submission? 學生只通過谷歌表格提交軟複本嗎? 提交時需要任何正本嗎?

A: Only need to submit soft copy through google form, no hardcopy is required. 只需要通過谷歌表格提交軟複本,不需要任何正本。


Q: How will the judging be carried out, online or face-to-face? 評審將如何進行,在線還是面對面?

A: Physical presentation is required for Final judging. 最終評審需要現場演示作品。


Q: Do students wear uniform for the judging (presentation)? 學生穿制服參加評審 (演示)嗎?

A: Not compulsory. 不是強制性的。


Q: Is there any time restrictions on time on presentation? 演示有時間限制嗎?

A: There is a time limit set for each stream’s presentation. 每個組別的演示都有時間限制。

A: To determine the appropriate stream for your team to join in the competition, you should identify the grade level of each team member. The stream you should apply through is based on the highest grade level of any member on your team. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that deals with creating computer systems capable of mimicking, learning, and reasoning, exhibiting human-like intelligence. 組別四:大專大學參賽者必須為本地認可的全日制大專或大學生,非本地生都可以參加此比賽(高級文憑、副學士、學士、碩士和博士學位),包括2023至2024學年畢業之學生。參賽者可以個人或小組方式提交作品(1,500字以內的文章 或 PPT),而小組人數不可多於6人。(行政費: 免費)


接受國內學校學生參加,學生可選擇獨立參與或經學校提名參與。

題目一: 資訊及通訊科技 通過資訊和通信技術 (例如人工智能、藝術科技、ESG (環境、社會和管治) 、元宇宙、機器人及Web 3),解決日常生活中的問題、或促進體驗、可持續性。參加者需提出科技應用的設計概念或作品,評審準則包括創意、工程原理概念、可行性及表達技巧

題目二: 科學實驗室 通過不同的科學實驗設計,驗證各種科學的概念。參加者需提出一個科學實驗的概念及驗證結果,評審準則包括創意、科學知識原理、可行性及表達技巧。

題目三: 扶輪淨水 通過結合新興科技(例如物聯網、遙感和衛星成像、移動應用程式、水處理技術、區塊鏈技術、自潔與無水衛生技術等)應用環境及個人衛生領域低成本水處理解決方案。參加者需提出應用設計概念或作品,評審準則包括創意、工程原理概念、可行性及表達技巧。

Rules and Regulations


Applicants are advised to be aware of the best practice and case-based experience as promulgated by the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.


In case of any dispute, the decision of the organiser will be final and binding on all parties concerned.


Stream KI: Kindergartens (Drawing)

It is open for Hong Kong Kindergarten school students (K1 – K3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by individuals. Submission can be in the form of drawings. (Administration Fee : $180 per Entry)


Stream KII: Kindergartens (Coloring)

It is open for Hong Kong Kindergarten school students (K1 – K3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by individuals. Submission is in the form of a black-and-white line drawing page filling in with colors using various coloring materials such as crayons, colored pencils, or markers. The objective of the contest is to showcase creativity, artistic skills, and attention to detail in the coloring of the provided image. Stream I: Primary Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong primary school students (P.1 – P.6, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of a drawing, an essay of 400 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream II: Secondary (Junior) Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong secondary school students (F.1 – F.3, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 800 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream III: Secondary (Senior) Schools

It is open for full time Hong Kong secondary school (F.4 – F.6, academic year from 2023-2024). Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 1,000 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)


Stream IV: Tertiary or above

The projects should be conducted by local registered tertiary institution students, Non-local students are also welcome (Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor, Master and PhD), including the applicants who are graduates in the academic year 2023-2024. Projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students. Submission can be in the form of an essay of 1,500 words or a PPT. (Administration Fee : Free)



Category I: ICT

Solve problems in daily life or enhance sustainability or experiences through information and communication technology (e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Art Tech, ESG, Metaverse, Robotics and Web 3). Participants are required to come up with an application design concepts or work, and the judging criteria include creativity, engineering principles and concepts, feasibility and presentation skills.


Category II: Science Lab

Through the design of different scientific experiments, verify various scientific concepts.Participants are required to present a scientific experiment concept and verification results. The evaluation criteria include creativity, scientific knowledge principles, feasibility and expression skills.


Category III: Rotary Water Purification

By combining emerging technologies (such as the Internet of Things, remote sensing and satellite imaging, mobile applications, water treatment technology, blockchain technology, self-cleaning and waterless sanitation technology, etc.) to produce a low-cost water treatment solutions. Participants are required to come up with applied design concept or work. The judging criteria include creativity, engineering principles and concepts, feasibility and expression skills.

FAQ 常見問題

Q: SUBMISSION MATERIALS : Other than an article/report, is it necessary to submit other materials, such as PPT, video, design sketch, or development plan? 作品材料提交: 除了作參賽作品,是否需要提交其他材料,如PPT、視頻短片、設計草圖或發展計劃?

A: It not compulsory but preferably submit a video clip or presentation slides (eg. PPT). You may include design sketch, or development plan in your article/report or PPT or video clip, if you think fit. 沒有強制的,但最好剪輯短片或演示幻燈片 (例如 PPT)。 如果您認為合適,可以在作品或 PPT 或剪輯短片中包含設計草圖或發展計劃。


Q: MULTIPLE SUBMISSION : Can an entry be submitted to compete in different categories? 單項作品多次提交:同一個參賽作品可以提交參加不同主題的比賽嗎?

A: In general, different categories have different focuses. If applicants have entry that may serve more than one category, they may consider to make multiple applications. A: Maximum number of slides: 30 for Tertiary or above Stream; 22 for Secondary (Senior) Schools Stream; 18 for Secondary (Junior) Schools Stream and 12 for Primary Schools Stream 提交PPT頁數:大專或以上組 30頁;高中組 22頁;初中組18頁,小學組12頁


Q: Do students submit soft copy through google forms only? Any hardcopy is required for submission? 學生只通過谷歌表格提交軟複本嗎? 提交時需要任何正本嗎?

A: Only need to submit soft copy through google form, no hardcopy is required. 只需要通過谷歌表格提交軟複本,不需要任何正本。


Q: How will the judging be carried out, online or face-to-face? 評審將如何進行,在線還是面對面?

A: Physical presentation is required for Final judging. 最終評審需要現場演示作品。


Q: Do students wear uniform for the judging (presentation)? 學生穿制服參加評審 (演示)嗎?

A: Not compulsory. 不是強制性的。


Q: Is there any time restrictions on time on presentation? 演示有時間限制嗎?

A: There is a time limit set for each stream’s presentation. 每個組別的演示都有時間限制。

A: To determine the appropriate stream for your team to join in the competition, you should identify the grade level of each team member. The stream you should apply through is based on the highest grade level of any member on your team.
