The Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association (HKNETEA) is a non-profit educational organisation dedicated to promoting the application of information technology (IT) and emerging technologies in education and youth development in Hong Kong, and cultivating the next generation of talents with innovative capabilities. 1. Purpose and Objectives 

-Core Mission: To enhance young people’s understanding of creative technology applications and expand their international vision and creativity through the promotion of IT-related activities and competitions. 

- Specific objectives: - To enhance the education sector’s awareness of the creative application of information technology. - To provide opportunities for Hong Kong youth to participate in international or Greater China science and technology education activities. - Promote cross-border knowledge exchange, such as organising student visits to Beijing, Dubai, etc.

2. Key areas and features 

- STEAM Education: Integrates science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, emphases interdisciplinary practice, and cultivates students' comprehensive abilities. For example, promote the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and blockchain in education. 
- International Competitions and Events: 
   - Organise the Hong Kong ICT Awards: Student Innovation Award. Winners can represent Hong Kong in international competitions. 
   - Organise students to participate in international invention exhibitions (such as Geneva and Nuremberg). 
- Study tours and exchanges: For example, the "Beijing Innovation and Technology Study Tour" and the 2024 UAE STEM Exchange Program, which combine technological learning with cultural experience.

3. Organisational Structure and Partners 

- Leadership Team: Led by the founding president, Mr. Alex Hung, who is active in promoting science and technology education policies and has led students to participate in government-funded activities many times. 
- Collaboration Network: Collaborate with institutions such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Innovation and Invention Association, and obtain support from Hong Kong SAR government departments (such as the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau).

4. Social Impact and Results

 - Through competitions and activities, students' works have covered areas such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, such as developing smart medication management solutions to solve elderly care problems.
 - Promote professional development of teachers, provide teaching materials and training resources, and assist educators in integrating emerging technologies into teaching.

5. Recent Developments

 - Several international exchange programs are planned for 2024, including STEM projects with the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi).
 - Continue to participate in international invention exhibitions, such as the 2023 Nuremberg Invention Exhibition in Germany, and achieve good results.
